A FREE monthly magazine that gives an 'alternative' view on bluegrass music. We are based in a village called Helsby in Cheshire in the North West of England. We like banjos,bluegrass,Earl Scruggs and lukewarm beer (not necessarily in that order!!) As well as organising bluegrass music days/weekends and events the HOP also runs a weekly 'Beginners Bluegrass Workshop' on Thursday nights at The HELSBY EX-SERVICEMAN'S CLUB in Helsby (Junction 14 M56). The magazine goes out to approximately 200 readers and is totally FREE!! and includes some serious articles and music tablatures as well as 'eccentric stories' from our own erudite authors!!. This is a no nonsense plain presentation web-site without fancy pictures that take an age to load!!
